BDEW energy association considers electricity price peaks to be in line with the market

Berlin - The energy association BDEW believes that the current electricity price spikes in the face of the dark lulls in Germany are not a problem. "This is the market," said Kerstin Andreae, head of BDEW at the association's annual press conference. She sees a more urgent need for action when it comes to PV peaks.

Berlin - The AfD (Alternative für Deutschland) party's election programme has a unique selling point in terms of energy policy: none of its political rivals are as strictly anti-climate protection as the alternatives. The party denies man-made climate change and therefore rejects "every policy and every tax that invokes climate protection".
