BASF: Using geothermal energy to decarbonise process steam

Geothermal energy could therefore become an important building block in the chemical company's green transformation and make it less dependent on price fluctuations of fossil fuels. This is another reason why the industry as a whole is increasingly focussing on geothermal energy.

Naturstrom supplies medium-sized company Hörmann with wind power

Düsseldorf/Steinhagen - The green electricity supplier Naturstrom has concluded another power purchase agreement (PPA) with a commercial customer. From January 2025, door and gate manufacturer Hörmann will purchase electricity from a 9.2 MW portfolio from subsidised wind farms operated by the Düsseldorf-based supplier over a period of two years.

SPD at odds over heating law

Berlin - After Federal Building Minister Klara Geywitz (SPD) called for a fundamental reform of the Building Energy Act, her party colleague Nina Scheer disagrees. According to the SPD's energy policy spokesperson, the heating transition needs reliable framework conditions and there should be no question mark over this.
