Energy prices push inflation rate to 1.6 per cent
Wiesbaden - Energy prices remain a key driver of inflation. Because electricity, gas, heating oil and fuel were in some cases significantly cheaper in September than in the same period last year, the inflation rate fell to 1.6 per cent - the lowest level since February 2021. District heating, however, bucked this trend and became significantly more expensive.
